— that does not have to be taken alone. If you are starting on this journey or know someone who is, we are here to help by providing compassionate care and understanding. Grief is difficult. But to go through it alone, without the understanding support of others, is unnecessary.

New Hope Center for Grief Support is a Christian based bereavement outreach center that provides grief support services through groups, individual support, seminars and other resources.

A call to New Hope will provide you with an opportunity to talk to someone about your grief, and to learn about our services and other resources available. We have a referral list of qualified counselors and an up-to-date list of other groups available in southeastern Michigan.

All of New Hope’s services are provided free of charge.

About Us

New Hope Center for Grief Support was founded in January 2000 by Cathy Clough. After working as the Director of Bereavement Services for a local hospice for more than 14 years, Cathy decided to take a step in faith and start New Hope Center.

All of our groups for adults, children and teens are led by professionals or trained volunteer facilitators. Most of them have been through a loss of their own and they find facilitating to be a source of healing for them and a way to “give back”.

Our philosophy is based on Christian principles. We help people work through their grief much like Christ offered hope and healing to all who came to Him. People of all faiths are encouraged and invited to benefit from our grief support services and groups.
